Artist Statement

I explore the interplay between form and space through my sculpture. My smaller wire sculpture informs larger steel installations. With its ability to bend and curve wire inspires a unique dialogue between heavier steel material suitable for outdoors and the surrounding environment. My sculptures are minimalist in form, allowing the negative space to become a critical aspect of the work. Through use of color, light and shadow, I aim to create a dynamic and fluid atmosphere that shifts and changes as the viewer moves around the piece - inviting the viewer to consider their own relationship with the world and the intangible spaces that exist within it. These sculptures are not just objects to be looked at, but an invitation to engage with and experience the interplay of form and space in a dynamic way.

I have dedicated over 20 years to the cultivation of my artistic visual language, harnessing the expressive potential of wire and steel to convey ideas through my creations. My artistic journey is guided by thorough research, which has not only shaped the development of my creative perspective but also enriched the depth of my work. With over two and a half decades of artistic experience, I take pride in an extensive exhibition history, the receipt of esteemed grants and awards, and the unwavering commitment to my studio practice.

A significant milestone in my career was the honor of presenting my art at the renowned Venice Biennale in 2001. Additionally, I've taken on the role of curator for thematic art exhibitions, while also contributing to numerous collective showcases. My artistic endeavors have transcended borders, finding homes in the collections of patrons across London, France, and Denmark.

In my creative process, each line in my sculptures is meticulously crafted, a deliberate exploration of the interplay between lines and form. My firm belief in the transformative potency of art underscores my commitment to crafting narratives that resonate deeply with our human experience.

When collaborating with clients, I enjoy the opportunity to offer guidance and support throughout the creative process.  By attentively listening to individual preferences, I  translate those preferences into art that is both professionally executed and designed to resonate with the space.

Furthermore, my experience collaborating with a diverse range of clients has allowed me to establish a sense of balance and connection while co-creating collaborative projects.
